Hope has been known for making hubs known for reliability and ease of service for nearly years but their hubs have always been a bit of a drag…literally. Being born in the UK, their Pro 4 hub has always been really well sealed against the elements but that aggressive sealing also causes a bit more drag than some of the competition. The Pro 5 aims to fix that while also boosting engagement to 108 POE 6 pawl system that engages 3 of the pawls at once.
The new Pro 5 hubs will also come with options for centerlock brake rotor mounts and they will also be offering an e-bike specific hub but for the additional stress e-bikes can dish out to a hub.
If you are using their Pro 4 hubs, the company has committed to making replacement parts for 10 more years so keeping your existing Hope hubs running smooth won’t be an issue for many years.
Their new hubs will cost $235 usd for the rear and $101 for the front
We were not able to find weights at the time of writing this but will be sure to update it when we can get our hands on a set.
